CARY, NC – Real Estate Blog - As part of its continuing commitment to the arts and downtown, contractors working for the Town of Cary have begun renovating the Old Cary Elementary school building into the future Cary Community Arts Center. Located in the heart of downtown at the intersection of South Academy Street and Dry Avenue, citizens will see dramatic changes to the site over the next 15 months. Once complete, the center will have visual and performing arts space on all three levels as well as a fully functioning theater with a stage, fly loft and 399 seats. The project includes the conversion of the existing 42,000 sq. ft. masonry building plus a 6,000 sq. ft. addition of new space for a total of about 48,000 sq. ft. This kind of project will make the homes for sale in Cary NC even more attractive!

Cary NC - Real Estate Blog. People who refrained from splurging on big home-improvement projects during the housing boom are reaping the rewards now.
Depending on the region and the job, some homeowners are paying as much as 20% less for home-remodeling projects than they would have a few years ago. Many contractors are willing to accept smaller jobs and "handyman" projects that they used to snub. And more projects are being delivered on time and on budget—a stark contrast from the boom years. Home improvements are one the most important things to do when selling your home in Cary NC, and other cities.
Cary NC - Real Estate blog - Cary police talk with citizens to reduce property theft
This season, we’re spreading the word about two kinds of theft that seem to be growing in number in Cary: garage burglaries and automobile-related larceny. In many of the reported cases, garage doors were left open and vehicles were either unlocked or had valuables such as GPS units, cell phones, wallets or purses in clear view. But this is not a common problem, which makes the job easier for Cary NC real estate agents.
CARY, NC – Real Estate Blog - Since 1989, the Cary Teen Council has offered teens the opportunity to make a difference in their community, and on Tuesday, August 18, Mayor Harold Weinbrecht will recognize their achievements during a 20-Year Celebration in the Cary Town Council Chambers, 316 North Academy St. at 6 p.m. During the event, State Youth Council Coordinator Cynthia Giles and Heather Black, a charter member and director of charitable solicitation licensing for the NC Department of Secretary of State, will also speak. Local Cary NC Realtors are excited that the community is interested in all demographics participation. Comprised of more than 400 middle school and high school students from Cary and surrounding areas, the Teen Council provides teens with an avenue for developing leadership qualities as they initiate, organize, supervise and conduct programs and civic projects of all types that benefit the young people of Cary and the surrounding area.
“I am honored to recognize the Teen Council for their dedication to promoting leadership skills among our community’s most promising youths,” said Mayor Harold Weinbrecht. Opportunities like this raise the value of homes for sale in Cary NC and surrounding areas. “Through the Teen Council, our young people are working with fellow teens to serve the communities that they live in through volunteerism, and they are actively engaging in the decision making process.”
