Cary NC - Real Estate Blog. Long-awaited and requested repairs for Cary NC thoroughfare Kildaire Farm Road scheduled to begin July 2010.

As a driver, I have had my fair share of visits to the mechanic for oil changes, tune-ups, tire rotations and alignments. As a Cary resident though, I wonder how many of the alignments needed are due to the potholes along Kildaire Farm Road. What used to be a quiet (albeit punctuated by moo's) dairy farm is now one of the most integral arteries of transportation in Cary. No matter what hour of the day, Kildaire Farm Road is bustling with activity. Inevitably, with heavy use comes wear and tear; potholes and bumps are the main culprits. Our requests haven't gone unnoticed though, and the Town of Cary has announced their plans to update the road.

Cary NC - Real Estate Blog.  Cary, North Carolina has been named the best place to live in the Southeastern United States out of more than 100 cities nationwide by Money Magazine.  Cary is the only North Carolina community to make the Money Magazine Top 25 list; Chapel Hill, ranked at 40, was the only other North Carolina community in the top 100. Factors affecting the rankings included median income, population growth, unemployment rates, the cost of residential housing relative to local income levels, and percent of college educated working professionals.  This is Cary’s fourth appearance on the Money Magazine Best Places to Live list in just eight years; the town has also been previously recognized by Forbes, and Frommer’s to name a few.

“Recognition is due to our residents, our Town staff and our partners--the Cary Chamber and our neighboring municipalities--who all work together to make great things happen in our area,” said Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht. “Moving forward, we want to make sure we continue to do those things necessary to make us worthy of this sort of recognition, and above all, keep Cary the kind of place our citizens want it to be.” This is great news for the homes for sale in Cary NC.

Cary NC - Real Estate Blog.    After extremely high morning demand, the Town of Cary is reminding its water customers in Cary, Morrisville, and the Wake County portion of the Research Triangle Park to follow the year-round alternate day watering rules and to hold irrigation to one inch per week, including rainfall. By 8:30 a.m., the Cary-Apex Water Treatment Plant had pumped 10 million gallons of treated water into the system, which is as much as 30 percent more than might be seen during that same period on a typical summer day.

"Even though we have plenty of water in Jordan Lake right now and the treatment plant is fully operational, we have to be mindful of how much and how quickly water is being used, which is why we want to alert our customers to the situation," said Town of Cary Utilities Director Jamie Revels.

Water customers with odd-numbered street addresses can water outdoors using automated devices such as sprinklers and irrigation systems only on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Customers with even-numbered street addresses may water outdoors using sprinklers and irrigation systems only on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. No one may use outdoor automated devices--including sprinklers--on Mondays. Hand-watering and using drip irrigation is okay any day of the week.
